Overall, I found the Poetry Live Trip to be both educational and very entertaining. Poets that I found particularly enjoyable included Grace Nichols, Imtiaz Dharker, Simon Armitage, and (perhaps most of all), John Agard. The quality of both the poems being spoken and the venue itself was outstanding.

A very interesting trip. We saw 6 famous poets who all read some of their best pieces. I thought that John Agard was the best as he put the most enthusiasm into his speaking. Also, the examiner session were good as the chief examiner told us how we would go about answering a question to an unseen poem.

Six famous poets read many of their pieces, which was very enjoyable and each poet answered questions after performing their pieces. My favourite poet was John Agard as he put lots of enthusiasm and meaning into his poems. During the performances, an examiner explained to us the best way of answering a question to an unseen poem, this was extremely helpful. I found that the trip to poetry live was very interesting and enjoyable.

The Poetry Live trip made me a lot more interested in poetry as the poets read their work in an engaging way by entertaining and including the audience. My favourite poets were Grace Nichols and John Agard because they performed their poems with emotion and energy. Also, a chief examiner talked us through how to answer an exam question about an unseen poem, which was very helpful.
I thoroughly enjoyed poetry live. I especially liked the spectacular performance by John Agard. There were many laughs, mainly due to Simon Armatige, however all the poets were amazing.
